Students Fund Well for Rural Village

I recently hosted a study group of students from Georgetown Day School in Washington, DC for dinner and a lecture.

GDS students have been coming to Ethiopia for years, and are very familiar with my work here. This year, they have had a series of fundraisers, ranging from car washes to bake sales and dance-a-thons, and raised enough money to fund a well in rural Ethiopia.

We’ll begin work on the well after the “big rains” end in a few months. The wells will supply clean water to hundreds of rural dwellers.

Thanks to all those who helped!

Dr. Rick Hodes
