Do you get visiting doctors? 

We love it when visiting doctors come to visit and operate. This year we have had visits from: 

  • Prof. Serena Hu, Chief of the Spine service at Stanford University

  • Dr. Theodore Belanger of Texas Back in Dallas, who operated on 21 patients with  his team of Americans and Ethiopians. Dr. Ted has also operated on several of our patients in Dallas. 

  • Dr. Kamal Ibrahim from Chicago. Dr. Kamal operated on about a dozen patients, while teaching Ethiopian physicians to become competent spine surgeons. 

  • Dr. Addisu Mesfin of the University of Rochester, New York, who operated on several patients.
